This Privacy Policy describes how Homelab Viet ("we", "our", or "the Service"), operating at homelabviet.com, collects, uses, and safeguards information when you connect your accounts through third-party authentication providers including Google and Meta (Facebook).

1. Information We Collect

Homelab Viet collects only the minimal data required to deliver automated homelab backup and community broadcasting features:

  • Profile Identifiers: Basic details including user ID, profile name, and primary email address provided via OAuth.
  • Encrypted Tokens: Scoped OAuth tokens required to communicate with authorized APIs.
  • Content and Telemetry: System status reports, log summaries, and media assets scheduled for community post publication.

2. How We Use Information

  • Publishing technical articles and community updates to authorized Facebook Pages using the Meta Graph API.
  • Backing up encrypted homelab configuration archives to designated folders in Google Drive.
  • Recording cluster uptime metrics into user-designated Google Sheets tables.

3. Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use Disclosure)

Homelab Viet's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • • We do NOT use Google user data to serve advertisements, including personalized or targeted ads.
  • • We do NOT sell, rent, or transfer Google user data to any external parties or data brokers.
  • • We do NOT use Google user data to train, fine-tune, or improve generalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models.

4. Meta (Facebook) Platform Data Compliance

In compliance with Meta Developer Policies, Homelab Viet requests only the permissions necessary for managing Page content:

  • pages_show_list: To display managed pages for selection.
  • pages_read_engagement: To confirm post reach and aggregate engagement.
  • pages_manage_posts: To publish scheduled community updates and alerts.

5. User Rights and Data Deletion

You can revoke access at any time through Google Account Security or Facebook Business Integrations settings. To request full deletion of all stored metadata, visit our Data Deletion Instructions page or contact noreply@homelabviet.com.
